Need a web server? So did I. But setting everything up by hand is tedious. In this talk, you'll see how to build a load-balanced web server using Ansible, Terraform, and DigitalOcean, a cloud provider aimed at developers. First, you'll see how to build out the servers and load balancer, and then you'll see how to use Ansible Playbooks to install and upload the web site. When we're done, you'll have scripts you can run to set up your own environment.

Symfony + AWS Lambda Serverless services, like AWS Lambda, have been proven useful to solve a wide range of problems, and its use is growing rapidly. Recently, the possibility to use the PHP runtime in Lambda was added, so why not trying to use our favorite framework? How can we make the most from a serverless approach? What are pros and cons? In this session we will analyze the necessary steps to set up a Symfony4 project in Lambda and deploy it.

In our quest to get to production faster, we've tackled culture, architecture and infrastructure: organizing ourselves in cross-functional DevOps teams, embracing microservice architectures, and deploying to the various clouds out there. Along the way we’ve learned some best practices about how to deploy software at velocity — things like automated releases, immutable infrastructure, gradual rollouts and fast rollbacks. Back in 2014, Netflix started building Spinnaker, an open-source multi-cloud continuous delivery platform that embodied these core principles of safe, frequent and reliable releases. In June Spinnaker 1.0 was released, with core contributions from Google, Microsoft, Oracle and Pivotal to name a few. Built on Spring Boot, its architecture is surprisingly familiar. During this session we'll give you a tour of how Spinnaker works, how we are using it at our clients, as well as what it could do for your continuous delivery pipeline.
