This document provides formatting techniques to add visual interest to a story, including inserting 3 clipart images with text wrapping, creating a border or background image related to the story, and changing fonts and adding bolding and underlining to key words for emphasis. Extra credit is offered for using shapes or callouts.

1. Now that you have your story you need to use formatting techniques to
add visual interest.
Insert 3 clipart pics into the document using textwrapping. Images
can replace words if they make sense in the story.
Create a border around the whole page or use a background
image
o The image must relate to your story, it can be a custom
watermark or an image placed behind text and recolored so
that it doesn’t take away from the story. (wash out)
Change the font of certain key words in your story for emphasis.
Use bold and underlining too.
Extra credit for using the INSERT SHAPES menu or using a callout.
