“Best for Project - Best for Business”
Gration was established in response to the
growing demand for Australian businesses to
access global markets for the supply of high
quality, low cost materials and services.
As organisations face increasing pressure to be more
efficient and reduce cost to remain market competitive,
the opportunity to source key materials and services
from low cost countries is becoming more attractive.
This can be a high risk activity without addressing the
cultural, language and quality barriers. It can result in
uncertain or highly variable outcomes which
contractually can be difficult to resolve.
Gration recognizes the challenges of sourcing from low
cost countries leveraging proven processes to ensure
certainty and repeatability in terms of schedule, quality
and cost.
We will work beside you during estimating, assist with
the design, and identify and source high quality
suppliers with a proven track record of results. Our
team will monitor, rectify and report on all quality
requirements to ensure your project meets the
exacting standards required in our markets. We will
also ensure your materials and finished products are
delivered to the required destination anywhere in the
world on time, on budget and in the best possible
condition.

Recent success stories
International Design, Sourcing and Delivery
Assisted a Tier 1 Contractor with the bid development of a $400 million
Victorian Freeway Widening Project which included 3000T of fabricated
structural steel. The Gration team worked with proven prequalified Chinese
Fabricators delivering a $10 million (or 8% total project cost) bid away
benefit to the project. The Contractor was subsequently successful with
award of the project. Provided global sourcing and logistics support to the
Contractor engineering and delivering several mobile crushing plants for
FMG in the Pilbara Region. This included prequalification, tendering and
evaluation of fabricators in China, Thailand and Vietnam. The process also
included tendering and evaluation of third party logistics providers. The total
project value was in excess of $60 million.
International Supply Chain and Logistics
The Wheatstone Project is one of Australia’s largest resource projects –
providing greater security of supply and significant economic benefits. The
Project includes an onshore facility located at Ashburton North Strategic
Industrial Area (ANSIA), 12 kilometres west of Onslow in Western
Australia’s Pilbara region. The foundation project includes two LNG trains
with a combined capacity of 8.9 MPTA and a domestic gas plant. The EVT
JV was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of
the Wheatstone Project’s two LNG containment storage tanks which have a
capacity of 150,000m3 each and two condensate storage tanks with a
capacity of 120,000m3 each. We were requested to assist with the
preparation, inspection, loading and securing of the roof petals and caissons
from Thailand through to Onslow across two vessels. Advice was also
provided on the contractual securing of vessels and the terms associated to
ensure the project did not incur significant commercial and consequential
damages with the client.
Project Shipping
A major iron ore expansion project based in Western Australia requested
procurement and project logistics advice and assistance to identify suitable
third party logistics providers to move modules fabricated in Asia to the
project site in the Pilbara. The process utilized prequalified vendors and had
them complete a detailed tender document to assist with short listing. Those
on the short list were then invited to meet with the project team to brief them
on their proposed solution. The process delivered value to both the project
team with a fully costed solution under budget and to the suppliers who
were able to bid with confidence knowing the project logistics were fully
understood.
