Google+ allows users to easily share thoughts, links, photos and have video chats with multiple people at once, similar to real world connections. It introduces circles to organize different groups of people, like friends and family, making sharing selective. While excited about this new approach, Google says this is just the beginning of Google+.

This document provides an introduction to iBeacons technology. It describes iBeacons as small, low-cost wireless transmitters that use Bluetooth signals to allow mobile apps to detect proximity. The document outlines several potential use cases for iBeacons, focusing on retail applications like providing customized deals and monitoring customer behavior in stores. It also notes that iBeacons could integrate online and offline shopping experiences and allow real-time engagement with customers. Overall, the document introduces the concept of iBeacons technology and highlights its potential benefits for retail applications.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise boosts blood flow and levels of neurotransmitters and endorphins which elevate and stabilize mood.
Google Glass is an augmented reality smart glasses project by Google that allows users to access information and interact with the internet via voice commands. It takes pictures and videos, provides directions using GPS, translates languages, and more using built-in cameras, displays, sensors, and wireless connectivity. While innovative, Glass also raises privacy concerns about how much information it can access and record without users' consent.
The document discusses the future of wearable computing, including its constraints based on context and location. It provides a brief history of wearable computing from the 1950s to today. Issues like navigation, diminished vs augmented reality, and computer-mediated reality using face recognition are examined. Current technologies like smartphones are highlighted as extremely lightweight wearable devices. The future of wearable computing is proposed to involve invisible interfaces triggered by actions and locations, with notifications tailored based on proximity and ambient conditions. Real-time augmented reality applications involving gaming and hyperlocal information are envisioned.
The document discusses the economic impact of the app economy in the EU. It estimates that the app economy contributes 794,000 jobs across the EU economy, with 529,000 direct jobs in the app economy sector, 60% of which are developers. It also estimates that the app economy generates over €10 billion in annual revenues for the EU. The app economy is still growing and further advancing connectivity and devices will help drive more innovation and growth.
This document provides an overview of building Newsstand apps for iOS. It discusses adding Newsstand support to an app by including the UINewsstandApp key in the app's Info.plist. Custom Newsstand icons can be defined to better reflect a publication's content. NewsstandKit is used to retrieve content updates in the background via push notifications, organize issues and assets, and download content. The app's Newsstand icon and badge can be updated to showcase new content and issues to the user.
The document discusses the challenge of developing a mobile app generator for multiple platforms and requirements. It proposes that creating many small domain-specific languages (DSLs) and generators to handle individual tasks could work for limited problems but would result in a "whole zoo" of DSLs and generators that would be difficult to manage for larger problems. It introduces the idea of using a single high-level generator called a HyperSenses to address this issue.

6. Timeline
The Glass user interface is a virtual timeline that is
comprised of 640 × 360 pixel cards.
!
Users scroll through the timeline to reveal cards in the
past, present, and future. The most recent items reside
in the center of the timeline, closest to the user
experience.
7. Timeline sections
!
Standard sections in the timeline define where cards
reside based on the card's temporality.
Home
!
The default Home card is the Glass clock and it resides in the center
of the timeline. For the most part, it appears whenever users wake
Glass up.
!
It provides system-wide voice and touch commands for users to
start other pieces of Glassware. The Glass clock card never leaves
the Home area of the timeline.
