2. DAY #1-May 6th– Bus transfer from Berlin airport to
Berlin hotel:Ibis Berlin Potsdamer Platz, Berlin at night.
DAY #2-May 7th—Breakfast at hotel, 10:34 a.m. de-
parture from Berlin Postdamer Platz to Lutherstadt
Wittenburg; Change trains at Berlin Sudkreuz Station.
Arrive Wittenburg 11:33 a.m. Luther Hotel Wittenburg.
2:30 p.m.-English speaking walking tour in Lutherstadt
Wittenburg, meet you at reception in hotel.
DAY #3-May 8th –Rail from Lutherstadt Wittneburg to
Erfurt, departure time 9:33 a..m. ; arrive in Erfurt
12:23 p.m. Change trains at Leipzig Station. Hotel: St.
Augustine’s Monastery (Augustinekloster Erfurt )
3:00 p.m.-English speaking tour of the Augustinian
Monastery, air sample collection, Meet guide at hotel
reception.
DAY #4-May 9th– Checkout of monastery. Drop off
baggage at new hotel [InterCity Hotel Erfurt]on the way
to rail station. Rail from Erfurt to Eisenach. Departure
time: 9:00 a.m., arrive in Eisenach 9:47 a.m.
11:00 a.m. Bus from Eisenach Station to Castle Wart-
burg. Bus is outside the station Bus #10 is needed.
11:20 a.m. Arrive at the Castle. 11:50 a.m. English-
speaking tour of Wartburg Castle...arrive 10 minutes
early. Bus from Wartburg Castle to Eisenach Station-
1:25, 2:25, or 3:25 p.m. or walk back to Eisenach sta-
tion if weather permits.
Rail from Eisenach to Erfurt: 3:10 p.m., 4:13 p.m., 5:1 0
p.m., 6:13 p.m. Hotel: InterCity Hotel Erfurt.
DAY #5-May 10th –Rail from Erfurt to Nuremberg. Depar-
ture time: 10:25 a.m; 1:24 p.m. arrive in Nuremberg.
Change trains at Fulda Station. Free time for sightseeing in
Nuremberg. Hotel: InterCity Hotel Nurmeberg.
DAY #6-May 11th –Rail from Nuremberg to Augsburg.;
departure time 11:30 a.m.. Arrive in Augsburg 12:37 p.m.
Change trains at Fulda Station. Free time for sightseeing in
Augsburg. Visit the “Fuggerei” and go to the restaurant
“Bayerisches Haus am Dom” close to the cathedral. Luther-
stiege museum. Hotel: Ibis Augsburg Hotel.
DAY #7-May 12th –Day Rail trip to Munich:; Rail from
Augsburg to Munich Station: flexible departure time (8:39
a.m., 9:06 a.m.) Train to Dachau departs from track #21
S2 is a subway train departing from lower level on Munich
main station. Follow green “S” sign –From Dachau Sta-
tion , take the bus to the
Memorial Site.
11:00 a.m. English speaking

“Marienplatz, “ Old Town Center. Travel time 50 min.

Tour.Running shoes with rubber soles required. 15

Walking time to hotel is about 5 minutes.
DAY #9-May 14th-Rail from Heidelberg
to Frankfurt-Departure time 8:46 a.m.
Arrive in Frankfurt 9:40 a.m. Exit South
Entrance of Frankfurt Main Station; pro-
ceed to hotel and drop off baggage., Hotel:
Ibis Frankfurt Centrum Hotel. Rail from
Frankfurt to Rudesheim; departure time
10:53 a.m. Walking time from hotel to
station is 10 minutes. Arrive at Rudes-
heim 12:04 p.m. Lunch at Restaurant
Rudesheier Schloss 12:30 p.m. 10 minute
walk from station to restaurant.
2:15 p.m. Rhine River Cruise from Rudes-
heim downstream to St. Goar through
upper Rhine Valley. Walking time from
restaurant to pier is 10 minutes...Be at
pier at 2:00 p.m. Cruise down Rhine (1 hr.
40 min) end up in St. Goar. Rail from St.
Goar to Frankfurt; flexible. Change trains.
Get to hotel and sleep.
Day #10-May 15th-7:15 a.m. Bus from
hotel to Frankfurt Intl airport Terminal 2
(Delta). Head back to US-Atlanta, GA!
