policies:
binder - You are expected to take notes during material presentation. All notes
and homework must be kept in your binder. After a chapter is complete, you
must keep the notes and review materials, but you are not required to keep the
daily homework assignments. I reserve the right to check your binder for a
grade at any time.

homework - All homework assignments will be due 2 periods after they are
assigned. There will be class time provided 1 period after the homework is
assigned to ask questions/view examples. For example, homework assigned on
Monday is due Wednesday. Time would be provided on Tuesday to ask
questions.

bell work/exit slips - Bell work will be turned in after adequate time has been
given to complete it. Exit slips must be handed to me upon leaving class. You
will be given a completion grade each day for bell work and exit slips. If you are
not able to complete the problems, you must write “NEED HELP.” I will then talk
to you personally about setting up time to review the topic. If you are absent,
your grade will not be penalized for missing bell work/exit slips.

extra credit - Extra credit opportunities will arise throughout the semester. Per
department policy, extra credit may not raise your quarter grade more than 2
percentage points.
