Geoff Newnham has worked in the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University since March. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I have pleasure in providing a professional reference for Mr Geoff Newnham, whom I have
worked closely with since he commenced employment in the Faculty of Business and Law
Deakin University in March this year.
In all of my interactions with Geoff, I have found him to be professional, pro-active and
keen to provide a superior level of service to internal customers (myself) and external
customers (prospective and current students). I recall on the 14th
April, for example, when
Geoff approached me with an enquiry about a special course of action for an off-campus
MBA students. I provided Geoff with the basic outline of the MBA program, but Geoff
undertook significant additional work to tailor a carefully-considered solution to meet the
student’s needs. The student contacted me subsequently and advised Geoff was
instrumental in changing her outlook on her study from negative to highly positive.
Since then, Geoff has offered a similarly consistent level of service. I am impressed at his
ability to grasp the finer points of the MBA course structure, and his appreciation of the
sometimes unique needs and circumstances of the MBA students. I find Geoff’s problem
solving abilities and student relations to be of a high standard that is an asset to student
services. I state with great confidence that I would enjoy continuing to work with him in the
