On August 26, 2015 in the United States, a man named Vester Lee Flanagan II shot and killed two journalists during a live television interview. Flanagan, who also went by the name Bryce Williams, was a former employee at the television stations where the victims had worked. After the shooting, Flanagan posted video of the incident on social media and then took his own life. The motives for the shooting appeared to be racism and revenge for having been fired from his job.
