2. COMPANY
Established in 1990, Galaxy Transmissions Pvt Ltd
[“Galaxy”] is a diversified group with interests in
aluminium, power transmission and distribution.
Synergetic with the evolution of the power sector
in India through the past two decades, Galaxy
developed its bare overhead conductor product
portfolio to cater to a wide range of power
transmission and distribution applications - EHV
(400kV - 765kV), HV (66kV – 220kV) and power
distribution (11kV- 33kV).
MANUFACTURING
Galaxy currently has a cumulative manufacturing
capacity of 60,000 MT per annum, distributed
between its facilities at Sangli (Maharashtra) and
Rakholi (Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli).
This cumulative capacity includes 10,000 MT of
alloy conductors. The captive rod rolling mill has an
annual capacity of 25,000 MT. The ISO 9001:2008
certified facilities comprise in-house aluminium
melting furnaces, casting machines, rod drawing
mills, coilers, specialized equipment for wire
drawing, stranding and heat treatment, as well as
fully equipped testing laboratories.

QUALITY & TESTING
Stringent monitoring systems, from raw materials to
finished goods, ensure that quality is built into every
aspect of Galaxy’s products rather than merely
tested out at the end.
All conductor products are compliant with IEC,
ASTM, AS, SS, DIN & EN international standards.
Products have also been successfully type tested up
to 765 kV at ERDA (India), TAG Corporation (India)
and NETFA (South Africa).
Based on clients’ requirements, our products are
type tested at NABL laboratory in India and other
international laboratories for a range of tests:
