This study compares the performance of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and metal biogas digesters designed for producing biogas from poultry waste, focusing on a 0.35m3 capacity unit. The research found that the metal digester produced significantly more biogas (2.28m3) than the FRP digester (1.33m3) over a 45-day retention period, primarily due to better heat retention in the metal. The study recommends further research into FRP digesters with different substrates to enhance biogas production efficiency.
