HOW TO USE WILL
We use ‘will’ with all subjects – I, he, she, it, we, they, you.
We use ‘will’ in all sentences: positive, negative and
questions.
For example:
Henry and Lucy will go to China in a few weeks.
Jimmy will not go to China next month.
Will the Panda Bear find food tomorrow?
HOW TO FORM SENTENCES IN
THE FUTURE TENSE
We always use ‘will’ + the ‘base form of the verb’ –
Subject + WILL + V1 + ~~~ + Time Expression
For example:
I will take my new shoes to
China next week.
Frank will eat ice cream in two
minutes.
NEGATIVE SENTENCES
To make a negative sentence we add the word ‘not’ after
“will”:
•I will not go to China tomorrow.
•Sammy will not come with me to China next month.
We can shorten ‘will not’ to make the word ‘won’t’.
So we get:
I won’t go to China tomorrow.
Sammy won’t come with me to China next month.
ASKING QUESTIONS
To ask a question we have to place the ‘will’ at the beginning
of the question.
For example:
