A friendly 12-over cricket match was played between the faculty and students of IEC Group of Institutions in Greater Noida. The match was inaugurated by the Honorable Chairman. The faculty team scored 64 runs batting first but the students won the match chasing the total in 8 overs, with Syed scoring an important 31 runs. The prize distribution ceremony was held afterwards where the winning student team received the trophy and all participants received mementos from the Honorable Chairman and Vice President.

REPORT ON FRIENDLY EXHIBITION CRICKET MATCH
A friendly exhibition Cricket match of 12 overs was played between faculty
and students on 09/02/13 (Saturday) at college ground with the students
winning the match by 2 wickets in 8 overs.
It was a fine and sunny morning. The match was inaugurated by Hon’ble
Chairman Sir with the introduction of both the team members. When the
Chairman Sir alongwith the Vice President and Director reached at the
middle of the ground there was a joyful clapping all over the ground. The
toss was done in the presence of Hon’ble Chairman Sir and Hon’ble V.P. Sir
which was won by faculty and they decided to bat first. The innings started
with our Vice President Sir as the opening batsman alongwith Mr.Ashutosh
Pandey. Mr. Sandeep Shukla scored 23 runs which helped the faculty team
to score 64 runs in 11.3 overs.
From the student’s team, Mr. Shekhar and Mr. Rohit took 4 wickets each. At
one stage, the students were at the verge of defeat by losing 6 wickets at a
score of 10 runs only but Mr. Syed surprised everyone by scoring 31 runs
and bringing his team to the victory point.
The prize distribution ceremony was held with Hon’ble Chairman Sir and
Hon’ble Vice President Sir congratulating the winners and cheering the
runners. They gave the trophy to the winning team and distributed mementos
to all the participants. The event ended with a fine lunch.
