The document discusses several technologies the student learned during the process of constructing a media project. They discuss using an HD camera with good picture quality but issues with focusing. Apple Macs were easy to use with big screens and good picture quality, though they sometimes froze. A tripod helped keep the camera steady without wobbling. Photoshop was used to add effects to an image, though initially confusing, but lessons helped learn the tools. YouTube was used to upload the finished opening sequence. Garageband helped sort all sounds, including dialogue and music. A website was used to download a copyright-free theme song for the movie.
The document describes the main character in a product and how she is similar to the character portrayed by Ashton Kutcher in the film "The Butterfly Effect." Specifically, the main character Grace appears ordinary but has mental damage from forgetting part of her past. Like Ashton Kutcher's character, she begins to remember her past after drawing a picture that triggers her memory. Both characters have the same facial expressions and body language showing confusion as they try to piece together their lost memories.
Clouds can be described as sheets or layers that cover much or all of the sky, with minor breaks but no distinct individual cloud units. Cirrus clouds are high in the sky, white and thin, occurring as patches and being thin and wispy. Cumulus clouds consist of rounded individual cloud masses that normally have a flat base and rise like domes or towers, having a flower-like structure.
We filmed our movie on November 14th and captured various scenes around the studio and in Reigate town. The bedroom scene included close-up, long, and medium shots to have options for editing. Stair scenes of the character Grace running down were filmed from multiple angles. An outdoor walking scene presented challenges from cars and wind noise. A hallway scene required timing to avoid other people and deal with reflections. The classroom scene used classmates as extras and took multiple shots from different angles of each part. Before finishing, the footage was reviewed to identify any issues or rough parts for smooth editing later.

The document provides feedback from two groups on a project. For the first feedback, it was noted that the opening sequence needed improved sound and to make it clearer earlier that it was a thriller. They liked the music setting the scene. In response, the end was made more thriller-focused and a mysterious sound effect was added. The second feedback also praised the unique font fitting the school theme and reiterated improving audibility of sounds, which was addressed by fixing sound issues and adjusting volume.

Klmug presentation - Simple Analytics with MongoDBRoss Affandy
This document discusses using MongoDB for analytics and lessons learned from implementing analytics on a car listings website. It describes the technical stack including MongoDB, challenges with slow map reduce queries and server crashes, and solutions tried like moving to aggregation queries and increasing hardware. A key lesson was that data modeling is important - denormalizing data and simplifying queries through adding redundant data improved performance and solved the problem more cost effectively than increasing resources.
Alison Bolinske shadowed a mortician at Zeyers Funeral Chapel for over 15 hours to explore it as a potential occupation option. She was mentored by Perry Zeyer, the main mentor, and David Patterson, who showed her around and explained most aspects of the business. While she learned about both the mortician and business sides of the funeral home from Zeyer and Pamela Christensen respectively, attending viewings and services reinforced that working with grieving families would not be a good fit due to her shy and awkward nature.
