The BrewFest features German food, over 150 beers and wines, live entertainment and arts/crafts booths to connect the community while supporting the humane society's efforts to provide medical care, shelter and adoption services for animals in the region.

Today there will be a BBQ lunch from 10:50 am - 11:30 am to support the co-curricular department where tickets can still be purchased. There will also be three bake sales running to raise money for the SPCA, Family Connexions and Sick Kids. Community service hours are also being offered on November 12th from 8 am - 6 pm for volleyball tournament score keepers at the RecPlex in Wasaga Beach where food and refreshments will be provided along with a free hoodie and hat. Junior and senior boys basketball tryouts will be held on Mondays and Thursdays at 2:30 pm. The cafeteria is running a contest where customers can tweet their treat for a

3.575 million people die each year from water-related diseases due to water pollution causing a global water crisis. Poor people often pay much higher prices per liter of contaminated water compared to wealthy people in the same cities. It is important to avoid further polluting the small percentage of fresh water available and to conserve this critical resource in order to prevent additional deaths and disasters from lack of access to clean water.
Mon. June 25th Pine River Announcements
The daily announcements for Pine River school on June 25th included acknowledging that the school is on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg people, reminding students to use reusable water bottles and continue donating to the food drive. Yearbooks were distributed and available for purchase, and gotcha winners from different classrooms were announced.

Thanksgiving Day originated in 1621 in Plymouth, Massachusetts with a celebration between the Pilgrims and Wampanoag people. While the exact location is debated, the modern American tradition involves families gathering for a feast featuring roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. Following the meal, many people watch the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City featuring giant balloons and performances before kicking off the Christmas shopping season with sales on Black Friday.

Cans Against Cancer is an organization that collects aluminum cans to raise money to help fight childhood cancer and support affected families. Its goal is to collect 220,000 cans, weighing 6,666 pounds, to raise $5,000 for donation to organizations like the American Childhood Cancer Foundation and American Cancer Society. The organization trades collected cans at a local recycling facility for 75 cents per pound, above the national average, and uses the proceeds from recycling aluminum waste to support its charitable mission.
