BREAD MUSEUM
The bread museum is located in
Seia, in “Quinta Fonte do
Marão”, a harmonious and
monumental landscape that cap-
tured some restored mills and
Traditional bakeries. In the
bread museum of Seia, a real
success in Portugal, kids are
able not only to watch the bread
cycle and its bakery process, but
also to make their own breads.
The museum is more than a
simple exibit of objects related
to bread history and production,
but also a living space for the
preservation of both country and
region know-how and crafts.
It is the executive palace in the
city. The present Mayor is Carlos
Filipe Camelo. The townhall or-
ganizes many events for the
county of Seia. In the last decade
we have developed several entre-
preneurial projects in the region,
such as rural tourism and local
products supported by Townhall.
Besides, Seia has an annual festi-
val called “CineECO” that focus
on films with ecological and
natural themes.
Câmara Municipal de Seia
SEIA TOWNHALL FONTE DAS “QUATRO BICAS”
“Fonte das Quatro Bicas” is a
monument from 18th century
and is located in “Largo da Igreja
da Misericórdia”, in front of the
Misericórdia Church and
The Miranda Brandão’s family
manor house (Municipal Library
of Seia).
