Four large fireballs were seen over several US states on the night of Tuesday into early Wednesday, with the largest one reported over Tennessee by 29 people in 5 states. Three other fireballs were also reported from Florida to Michigan all within an hour and a half of each other. While fireballs are not unusual on their own, experts noted it was unusual to see so many bright meteors in such a short period of time.
1. Fireballs seen over Tennessee and other areas
Four large fireballs were seen over the United States Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.
Fireballs are typically very bright meteors but they can also be space junk burning up.
The fireball over Tennessee was reported around 8:30 central time and was reported by 29 people
from Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Kentucky.
There were also reports of three other fireballs from Florida to Michigan.All

Fireballs are not unusual but having so many in such a short amount of time reportedly is unusual.
Another fireball was reported September 21 by someone in Memphis as well as four other people in
various areas.
