Sunnah acts are voluntary acts of worship that are rewarded but not punished if missed. There are sunnah before, during, and after prayers. Sunnah before prayer include the call to prayer, call to begin, and using a barrier. Main sunnah during prayer that must be made up if forgotten include the first sitting and sending blessings on the prophet. Other sunnah include raising hands during takbir and saying Ameen after surah. After prayer, sunnah include supplications and remembrance of God.
