I have disabled download but i am happy to email you a copy if you let me know when and where you would be singing it. I just like to know how far and wide my songs go... Email to slambert@uow.edu.au

The document is a score for "A frayed, jute whipping knot", a piece written for reed quintet by Joshua Marquez. The piece has two movements, "Wound" and "Unwound", depicting the winding and unwinding of a frayed jute whipping knot. Movement I begins simply and gains complexity, while Movement II begins furiously unwinding and becomes more fragmented. The score provides musical notation for oboe, Bb clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone and bassoon across the two movements.
The document provides instructions for string players on techniques used in "The Legend of the Sun and Moon", a piece for string orchestra. It discusses using different types and speeds of vibrato to create varying textures representing the changing relationship between the sun and moon. Specific indications like "wide, slow vibrato" and "narrow, fast vibrato" are meant to subtly alter timbre. Other techniques like glissandi, tremolo, sul ponticello and sul tasto help express the sun's pursuit of the moon and stars across the sky.
2. Fingerprint Skin Graft
Program Note:
A skin graft is a type of surgery where skin is transplanted from one section of a patient to another
section of the same patient (autologous), from a genetically identical individual to another (isogeneic),
from the same species to the same species (allogeneic), from two different species (xenogeneic), or
from replacing with synthetic material (prosthetic).
The same procedure occurs with the pitch material of Fingerprint Skin Graft, shifting from a diatonic
set [024579E], to an increasingly more chromatic aggregate by means of the a slow introduction of the
complement [1368T] until the completion of the aggregate. The visceral melody that sits on top is
unique every time that it appears, but similar enough to appear analogous, like a fingerprint.
Performance Notes:
Indicates a smooth glissando between the given pitches that occurs evenly over
course of the given duration.
