4. Full Poem
What is this wonder soft and white,
That falls from the sky on this wintery night?
Cool and sparkling, light as a feather,
It makes its appearance in cold winter weather.
My hair is covered and it's all gray.
From my shoulders I brush the crystals away.
My tongue is out, to taste the flakes.
Here comes the plow, to push it aside,
Children on sleds, down hillside they slide.
Sweet little birds, they pop up their heads,
They're awakened by snow, that falls on their beds.
Tree limbs are covered with shimmering white.
That look like maidens,
dressed with delight.
Their limbs bending, under thick white snow.
As if thanking God, for love He's bestowed.
I look out my window in wonderment.
I know that this magic is heaven sent.
I cannot imagine not seeing it fall.
A winter without it, I want not to recall.
I never shall leave this wondrous season.
For loving it so is the only reason,
I live in this region where it snows.
As in winter time, my small world glows.

69. Why this??
• While I was choosing the poem, I wanted
to have a poem that is easy to present
visually. The theme “snow” and the author’s
word choices made me to choose this
poem. Also I found many sympathies and
similarities with the author. We both love
snow and winter!

72. Another poem about
Snow
Dust of Snow
Robert Frost
The way a crow shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

Snow
Dust of Snow
Robert Frost
The way a crow shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
I think this poem symbolled
Has given my heart snow as a hope which
A change of mood changes a mood and gives
And saved some part hope from the faults.
Of a day I had rued.
75. Explanation of video
• While I was thinking the way to present snow, on
Saturday, magically, it was snowing outside! I flimed
this video on the first floor of my apartment. My
younger brother acted with me and mom
recorded it. It was so cold (esp. the part where I
put snows on my shoulders and head) but it was
fun and I also felt ashamed when people passing
me was watching us weirdly. Also because my
camera wasn’t able to upload the sound, I had to
re rerecorded. ( There will be some parts that
doesn’t match with my pronounce) I tried to show
the words one by one and used objects to present
it.
