1. Location Research
These are the three locations that we could have used for filming the external house
scenes:
We chose the house in the middle because we had easier access to this house, rather than
the other house because of their location, this house would allow all members to attend
without difficulty. Also the first house had the addition of the back gate, which we could
use for additional filming. We have also chose this location because there is a smaller
amount of background noise compared to the other to which are situated on main roads
so the level of noise is much higher causing more distractions. Also there are less people
moving through the area compared to other two so there is a smaller risk of interference
from the public
Another reason for casting the middle house is that at our other location’s, the homes
don’t have types of features we want, for example we want a back garden entrance that
leads into back door which goes into living room. The picture on the left does have back
gate, but isn’t very easy to film and the back door goes into the kitchen not the living
area. The location on right doesn’t have back gate that is accessiblefor anything to fit
through so filming can’t be done. But the middle house has a back entrance, which offers
us good filming opportunities so we can be creative in the way we film the scenes.
These are the three different locations that we could have used for the internal house
scenes:
We again chose the one to the middle because of it is easier for all of the members of the
team to get to the house. Also the addition of the door on the left would make it easier to
film the scene in one take. Plus this location will be available a lot more given us more
time to get it just right. Another reason that this location has been chosen is that this
house’s front room where filming take place has lot more room for getting different
angles and different effects of the shot.

2. Location Research
The last filming location needed is for when we are filming the early morning scenes, it
will be shot an 30 minuets afterdawn so there is enough light to get the filming done.
There are many places we thought about, we thought about Cherry Hinton hall but there
are no hills so it didn’t fit with the script. We thought about Gog Magoghills however it
has no forest environment so it doesn’t coincidewith the script. Finally we suggested
Wandlebury nature reserve, it has the right effects we need, thereis also excellent
lighting. Another great addition was its location, it was accessible to the entire group and
there is no background noise to disturb the filming sessions and so will be able to take
our time between filming scenes with fear of sound distractions.
