Copa America is a major international soccer tournament organized by CONMEBOL every four years. This year's tournament features 12 teams divided into three groups of four teams each. Group stage matches will be played within each group, with the top two teams of each group and two best third place teams advancing to the knockout stage of quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. If knockout matches are drawn after extra time, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout. The winner of Copa America will qualify for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.
