With more than five million hectares of high-value vegetables
grown across the world each year, seed- and soil-borne pathogens
and pests can inflict significant physical damage to these crops,
which can lead to substantial financial losses. By attacking seeds
and seedlings, these pests can delay emergence, stunt plant
growth and even kill plants. This impacts growers looking for ways
to improve profitability and quality while minimizing costs.
Vegetable producers usually request a holistic solution providing
assurance that their seeds will be cared for with optimum
protection and enhancement to provide healthier, more uniform
and stronger young plants.
Vegetable Producers’ Needs
04
Developing a single seed treatment solution that meets all
needs across different vegetable crops is impossible, because
there are wide-ranging differences, such as various genetics,
growing practices and economic factors.
Vegetable seeds can be primed, coated, encrusted or pelleted.
They are directly seeded or transplanted. If transplanted, some
are pinched or grafted. Vegetables are grown in open fields,
under plastic, in passive or active greenhouses. Certain crops
have determinate or indeterminate varieties, produced for fresh
or processing markets. Furthermore most vegetables seeds are
more sensitive than row crops and therefore need special care
and attention when applying treatments. Precision is key.

The FarMore®
Technology platform is a
first-of-its-kind concept to help ensure growers
extract the maximum value from commercial
production of vegetables. Individual seed
treatment formulations commercially applied
for grower convenience, FarMore Technology
delivers cutting-edge, user-friendly offerings for
broad-spectrum disease and insect protection
and overall plant health.
For the first time in the seed treatment industry, the focus is
on individualized crop and species solutions. Supplying seed
treatment products was not enough, we needed to deliver
premium solutions tailored to high-value seeds.

A healthy start sets the foundation for strong performance as
plants grow. Seed treatments provide protection during the critical
germination and stand establishment stages when seeds and
emerging seedlings are unable to protect themselves against
invasive pathogens and pests.
Serving as the first line of defense, seed treatments can improve
seedling emergence, stand establishment and plant vigor.
The benefits of FarMore®
Technology include:
Protection for high-value seed
Customized solutions to specific vegetable crop needs
Flexibility for use in different growing systems
Targeted and accurate application on seeds
A complement to more traditional crop protection methods
Improved seed germination, seedling emergence and
seedling health
Optimum stand establishment and plant vigor
Grower convenience
As a result vegetable producers will see an improvement in the
development of their crops right from the start, followed by better
crop stands and more uniform growth.
Benefits of Seed Treatment
for Vegetable Producers
There are three main seed treatment application options that
are being used in the industry depending on the crops, growing
practices and registrations.

FarMore®
Technology Offers Effective Disease Protection
The combination of certain environmental conditions and
pathogens on the seed or in the soil may result in damping-off,
decay, seedling blight and eventual death of the seed or seedling.
The enhanced broad-spectrum disease protection of FarMore®
Technology protects the seed by targeting seed- and soil-borne
fungi that cause early-season infections. FarMore Technology
provides systemic and post-emergence disease protection
against Fusarium, Pythium and Rhizoctonia among others. The
combination of active ingredients and protocols are active on all
four major classes of pathogenic fungi.
Seed treatment solutions
Seed treatment formulations vary for each customized crop
solution. You will find more details in the “quick reference guides”
(leaflets) at the end of the brochure.

Insect Control –
General Introduction
17
FarMore Technology Offers Effective Insect Protection
Vegetable crops can be attacked by a variety of insects, which
can damage crops and yield potential, significantly affecting a
grower’s bottom line. Some of these pests also can serve as
a vector for various diseases that can infect plants, resulting in
substantial damage or even plant death. FarMore®
Technology
offers targeted protection without harming beneficial insects
and pollinators to help get crops off to a healthy start and
maximize yield potential.

FarMore®
iQ Offers Cutting-Edge Technology for
Maximized Crop Performance
FarMore®
iQ offers the first seed-applied crop enhancer that
optimizes the initial development of the seedling to maximize its
genetic plant potential. Plants treated with this novel, seed-delivered
technology contain higher levels of chlorophyll and are more robust,
thus able to withstand stress during transplanting and early growth.
FarMore iQ provides plants with good early establishment, which
helps ensure maximum crop yield and quality potential.
Seed treatment solutions
Seed treatment formulations vary for each customized crop
solution. You will find more details in the “quick reference guides”
(leaflets) at the end of the brochure.

  • 4. With more than five million hectares of high-value vegetables grown across the world each year, seed- and soil-borne pathogens and pests can inflict significant physical damage to these crops, which can lead to substantial financial losses. By attacking seeds and seedlings, these pests can delay emergence, stunt plant growth and even kill plants. This impacts growers looking for ways to improve profitability and quality while minimizing costs. Vegetable producers usually request a holistic solution providing assurance that their seeds will be cared for with optimum protection and enhancement to provide healthier, more uniform and stronger young plants. Vegetable Producers’ Needs 04 Developing a single seed treatment solution that meets all needs across different vegetable crops is impossible, because there are wide-ranging differences, such as various genetics, growing practices and economic factors. Vegetable seeds can be primed, coated, encrusted or pelleted. They are directly seeded or transplanted. If transplanted, some are pinched or grafted. Vegetables are grown in open fields, under plastic, in passive or active greenhouses. Certain crops have determinate or indeterminate varieties, produced for fresh or processing markets. Furthermore most vegetables seeds are more sensitive than row crops and therefore need special care and attention when applying treatments. Precision is key. • 6. 08 09 A healthy start sets the foundation for strong performance as plants grow. Seed treatments provide protection during the critical germination and stand establishment stages when seeds and emerging seedlings are unable to protect themselves against invasive pathogens and pests. Serving as the first line of defense, seed treatments can improve seedling emergence, stand establishment and plant vigor. The benefits of FarMore® Technology include: Protection for high-value seed Customized solutions to specific vegetable crop needs Flexibility for use in different growing systems Targeted and accurate application on seeds A complement to more traditional crop protection methods Improved seed germination, seedling emergence and seedling health Optimum stand establishment and plant vigor Grower convenience As a result vegetable producers will see an improvement in the development of their crops right from the start, followed by better crop stands and more uniform growth. Benefits of Seed Treatment for Vegetable Producers There are three main seed treatment application options that are being used in the industry depending on the crops, growing practices and registrations.
