7. THOMAS EDISON: INVENTION OF A LIGHT BULB
• Such is the case with Thomas Edison, whose
most memorable invention was the light bulb,
which took him 1,000 tries before he
developed a successful prototype. “How did it
feel to fail 1,000 times?” a reporter asked,
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways
that won’t work”
Edison responded.
