The document describes a cardboard FabLab design that is intended to be flexible and adaptable. The designer used cardboard for the furniture, ceiling, and decorative objects to allow the space to be reconfigured easily based on needs. Instructions are provided for assembling movable shelves from cardboard panels that can hold tools, materials, and projects. The overall concept is for the FabLab to be a dynamic space where people can learn skills, work together, and share knowledge in a flexible environment.

The document provides an overview of the internet, including:
1. The internet is a large network of interconnected computer systems that allows people around the world to share information.
2. Key terms include intranet, which is a private network within an organization, and extranet, which allows partial access to authorized outsiders.
3. There are different types of internet connections including dial-up, wireless, and cable, with requirements like a computer, modem, phone line, and internet service provider.
The document discusses the interior design of FabLab Leuven in Belgium. It describes the atmosphere as being creative, cozy, and comfortable. Warm lighting is used that is both expressive and natural. Materials include glass, wood, and recycled materials. References are provided about creative workspace and cafe designs that utilize similar materials and lighting approaches.

This document describes a proposed mobile Fab Lab project by FabShop Technologies in Bangalore, India. The project aims to take innovation and digital fabrication tools closer to people by launching a Fab Lab on Wheels that can travel to different districts. The mobile lab would contain tools like a vinyl cutter, laser cutter, 3D printer, and CNC machines to help users design and prototype products. It seeks to eliminate traditional manufacturing skills barriers and support collaboration. The goals are to launch the mobile lab in 15 districts over 3 years, targeting 50,000 audiences annually across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu initially and expanding pan-India. The project expects to support 1,500 prototypes and 15 entrepreneurs, generating potential annual revenue of Rs.
Navigation Support in Evolving Communities by a Web-based DashboardRalf Klamma
This document discusses the development of a navigation dashboard to support the evolution of open source software communities. It describes related work on social network analysis and text mining of communities. A survey of open source developers found interest in visualizing the overall community and changes over time through metrics and network graphs. A prototype dashboard was created integrating data from code repositories and mailing lists of three bioinformatics projects. Feedback from community members praised the social network graph and saw potential uses for recruitment, funding, and comparing projects. The conclusions identify interest in reflecting community evolution and network visualizations, with an outlook on expanding text analysis and social features to better support open source communities.

The document discusses the similarities between hacker values and library values such as access to information, openness, collaboration, and sharing. It proposes that libraries and hackers can work together to further these shared goals. For example, libraries can advocate for issues like privacy and copyright while hackers are affiliated with digital rights groups. The document also describes a mobile library FabLab initiative in Fryslân that aims to facilitate knowledge creation in communities through hands-on learning and collaboration using a mobile makerspace laboratory.
Presentation during the CONNECT Final Event on 28th October 2015. I present my experience at Garagem FabLab (São Paulo) which inspired the launch of FabLab Marsala. The Lab is a social project which will connect all the high schools in Marsala with the aim to solve local challenges through digital fabrication and sustain local entrepreneurs to implement digital solutions.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.

Beyond the Client-Server Architectures: A Survey of Mobile Cloud TechniquesDejan Kovachev
Mobile applications nowadays are developed either for a local (native) or for a client-server execution. However, applications in the future will be developed with cloud in mind, i.e. act as native applications, but do the heavy processing and storage in the cloud, deliver only needed parts and data at runtime and able to run offline. In order to better understand how to facilitate the building of mobile cloud-based applications, we have surveyed existing work in mobile computing through the prism of cloud computing principles. We provide an overview of the results from this survey, in particular, models of mobile cloud applications. We also highlight research challenges in the area of mobile cloud computing.

The document discusses the Supply Chain Council (SCC), a non-profit organization that developed the SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model. SCOR is a process reference model for supply chain management that contains over 200 elements, 550 metrics, and 500 best practices. It provides a framework for companies to assess, compare, and improve their supply chain operations. The SCC aims to advance use of SCOR through training, benchmarking, and helping members apply it. A case example is also mentioned.

2. Material- Cardboard
The material that I chose to work with was cardboard. This
material is practical, resistant and you can change the furniture
when you want because is a recycled material.
I chose to work with it on the entire FabLAb, not only on the
furniture, but also for the ceiling and the decorative objects.
3. Concept
The idea behind the concept is that FabLAb is a place where everyone
has to be able to learn how to use different machines to build "almost
anything". FabLAb is a place where people can meet, talk, work together,
exchange information, share experiences and knowledge.
FabLab is about movment and change. Is a dynamic space, where people
come, create, interact and then leave.
So the place have to be able to offer the possibility to be changed
depending on needs.
As a reference I used the Flexible Love designed by Chishen Shiu. He
created a chair made entirely of recycled cardboard, which can stretch for
up to 16 people, and then shrink, almost disappearing when not needed.
It expands like an accordion allowing a maximum of flexibility and a
great variety of form. The benches you can create by opening Flexible
Love can be curved or linear, also allowing adaptability to different
environments.
