An experiment tested different image compensation methods at higher SSIM thresholds with increased backlight scaling. Compensating the RGB values directly distorted chromaticity significantly, while compensating the YCbCr luminance value preserved chromaticity while still partly compensating luminance. The experiment also tested different backlight levels, power savings, distortion thresholds and duration constraints.
