Simulation of the Single Ring Resonator Based on the Z-Transform Method TheoryUniversity of Malaya (UM)
The theoretical and simulation study of the single ring resonator has been presented. The Z-transform method
can be used to derive the theory of the ring resonator, where results based on the presented equations are
simulated. The intensity power of the system could be derived and simulated successfully. The chaotic signals
can be generated within the system when the Gaussian pulse with input power of 120 W is inserted into the
system. Generation of chaotic signals respect to the parameter of the system such as the ring’s radius has been
studied. The coupling coefficient affects the output power significantly, thus in order to generate signals with
higher output power, the smaller coupling coefficient is recommended. Here the output power of the system is
characterized with respect to the different coupling coefficients of the system.
