Over 8,000 Right to Information (RTI) awareness meetings have reached 1.18 million people so far. Through nearly 34,000 RTI applications filed, over 6,700 malpractices have been exposed. Additional outreach activities include one-day programs in 322 regions reaching over 29,000 people, 223 inspections of public authority offices, answering 2.88 lakh phone calls, establishing RTI protection committees in all districts, distributing pamphlets and books on RTI rights. The document highlights successes in promoting transparency through use of the RTI process and thanks participants.
