Ronald Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 in Tampico, Illinois. He attended Dixon High School and Eureka College, enjoying hobbies such as acting, reading, and playing sports. Reagan owned a King Charles Spaniel named Rex and his favorite foods included macaroni and cheese and honey baked apples. He went by the nicknames Ronnie, The Great Communicator, The Teflon President, and Dutch, and served as U.S. President from 1981 to 1989 after being elected at age 70.
