Hello,
My name is Emily Griswold and I was born in Palo Alto but have spent most of
my life in Raleigh, NC. My family has recently moved back out West, and I am
following in August to the Bay Area. I have been researching your amazing
facility and am very interested in discussing any and all current or future
positions. I would love a chance to speak more with you!
My natural love for animals is something that I have been exploring for a long
time. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from East Carolina University and
have since then been working with all types of species. I became a wildlife
rehabber during college and specialized in squirrels. I did an internship at a large
cat conservation center and worked closely with lions, tigers, foxes, servals,
wolves, binturongs, etc. Since graduation, I have been gaining experience in the
work field by being a full-time vet technician. I have learned numerous skills that
make me a valuable employee.
I am eager to learn and very outgoing and friendly. I believe that animals require
and deserve special care and this can only be provided if the caretaker has
sufficient knowledge of the nature of the animal he or she is taking care of. I am
proficient in understanding most requirements for enclosure, nutrition, behavior
and related safety precautions. It is important to me to work at a place where
animal care is a priority and I am very interested and excited to learn more about
any positions available.
As an individual committed to the well-being of animals with a proven record of
hard work, I am confident that I could be a candidate that you would be
interested in considering for future employment. I look forward to hearing from
you! I can be contacted at 919-812-5565 if you would like to speak to me.
Please find attached to this email a copy of my resume. Thank you very much for
your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Emily Griswold
