After listening to the story Turkey Trouble, kindergarten students did a think-pair-share activity to brainstorm other disguises a turkey could use on Thanksgiving. Then students created their own WANTED posters for their own missing turkeys.
Kindergarten students studied Lois Ehlert's illustration techniques in her book Leaf Man. Then, using Smart Notebook software and leaves and seeds found on the playground, they created their own leaf creatures.
After studying several folktales, students chose a villain from one of the stories and created a WANTED poster. Students used kid-spelling, and they had to use textual evidence.
During our author study of Jan Brett, students learned she always researched a location before setting a story there. In the hopes that Jan Brett would write a story that took place in Wisconsin, third grade students at Alliance Charter School in Neenah, Wisconsin, wrote their own ABCs of Wisconsin book to help Brett get to know their state.
Students did a picture walk though the book Clifford's First Autumn. After doing a think-pair-share activity, students shared with a partner what their favorite thing was about fall. Then, students used KidPix software on the computers to draw a picture of their favorite thing about fall. Grownups did the typing.
Students used KidPix software and their own listening skills to draw a turkey. They used the oval tool, free draw tool, paint bucket took, and the text tool.

Give special attention while lighting up fireworkschris10martin
Celebrations do not require big reasons. The fireworks such like fountains, smoke bombs, sky lanterns, bottle rockets, smoke balls, etc. are the most using to celebrate kid’s first birthday, children’s graduation, promotion in job, wedding anniversary to wedding itself. However, fireworks are indeed dangerous and could lead to various injuries if proper care and consideration not given at the time lighting them. Accidental injuries from fireworks do not come with an invitation. Therefore, you must not forget to take of yourself and your children while celebrating the happiness with fireworks. http://www.pyrocreations.com/blogs/view/302398/take-care-while-lighting-up-fireworks
