Her bookkeeping measures have helped lift monetary suspensions from Western donors to Malawi and restore cash injections from the IMF.

You probably know by now that #FastFashion is not good for our planet. The resources it requires is putting extra pressure on our #environment and people, in a negative way, while big corporations are only interested in making more profit for themselves by squeezing tight the cost of production, mainly in the form of wages and raw materials, and avoidance of #compliance.
So how do we counter this disastrous economic model? By going slow. Take action and challenge yourself. Adopt the Slow Fashion lifestyle -- it's never too late to be part of the solution, together, creating multiplying positive impacts.

Today, Miche is a growing international business marketed by independent women representatives who sell the unique handbags and accessories to style lovers around the world.

This document provides an overview of fashion, including its history and key concepts. It discusses how fashion originated in Paris and key designers like Chanel who liberated women's styles. Major fashion eras are explored from the 1900s to 2000s, noting styles, silhouettes, and cultural influences of each decade. Key fashion terminology is defined like haute couture, mass market, the four global fashion capitals, and the annual fashion cycle. The repetitive nature of fashion trends over time is also examined.
H&M began as Hennes in Sweden in 1947 and focused on women's clothing. In 1968, Mauritz Widforss acquired Hennes and renamed it Hennes & Mauritz (H&M). Since then, H&M has grown rapidly to become a global brand with over 3,000 stores in 53 countries. H&M pioneered collaborations with high-end designers and is known for trendsetting special collections. The company emphasizes sustainability and social responsibility in its business practices.
Christian Dior was a French fashion designer born in 1905 who founded the fashion house of Dior in 1946. In 1947, he launched his first haute couture fashion show called "Corolle" which debuted his iconic "New Look" silhouette featuring nipped-in waists, rounded shoulders, and full skirts that emphasized femininity. The New Look was a major success and helped reestablish Paris as the global fashion capital. Dior led the house until his death in 1957, after which other designers like Yves Saint Laurent and John Galliano continued his legacy of redefining fashion trends.
Charles Fredric Worth was the father of fashion who opened the first fashion label and designed the first dress for Queen Elizabeth. Rose Bertin, the dressmaker to Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, had considerable influence on Parisian style until the French Revolution. Marie Antoinette preferred simple muslin shift dresses, which contrasted with her elaborate gowns as Queen as she tried to connect with citizens. Theories of fashion diffusion include the trickle-down theory where elites adopt styles that spread down social classes, and the trickle-up theory where innovations start with lower classes and spread up. Mass production and making clothing affordable for all citizens through distribution were important developments.

Eileen Fisher
Founder
In 1984, she was working as an interior and graphic designer and had trouble finding clothes.
The Trivia
She kept imagining simple, timeless pieces like the kimono, which people have worn for thousands of
years. That vision led to her “aha” moment: a system of shapes that worked together to make getting
dressed easy.
Today, that systems approach has grown to include the whole life cycle of the clothes, from how
they’re made at the outset to what happens after you no longer need them, taking into account the
well-being of those involved along the way.
That’s why they are designing a circular system and moving away from the take-make-waste
manufacturing model toward one that reuses, replenishes or regenerates the resources involved.
