Canada has launched the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) to address labour shortages by pairing skilled refugees and displaced individuals with Canadian employers. The EMPP will allow employers to hire refugees and displaced people qualified under the National Occupation Classification for in-demand jobs in areas like healthcare, engineering, technology, and transportation. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including being a refugee, admissible to Canada, and eligible for an economic immigration program like the Atlantic Immigration Program, Provincial Nominee Program, or Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot.
