The E-Ball is a spherical computer concept designed by Apostol Tnokovski. It features a 6-inch diameter sphere containing a 120 x 120mm motherboard and includes traditional computer elements like a keyboard, large screen display, and DVD recorder projected and interacted with in innovative ways. A virtual keyboard is projected onto any flat surface and uses an optical sensor and IR light pattern to detect key presses as input. The E-Ball has a stylized software interface supporting multiple operating systems and is portable, has large memory, and is useful for presentations. As technology advances, it decreases in size and cost while increasing capabilities.
