1. Dune part two
The movie begins with Princess Irulan Corrino (Florence Pugh), Emperor Shaddam IV's (Christopher Walken) daughter, writing about the Harkonn
ens' recent raid on House Atreides.
She adds that the Emperor regarded Duke Leto Atreides as a son, which perplexes her as to why her father would order the annihilation of the Atr
eides family, albeit she feels not all of them are genuinely extinct. Irulan then worries what the demise of House Atreides implies for Arrakis.
Shortly after joining the Fremen on their journey across the desert to Sietch Tabr, Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) and his pregnant mother Lad
y Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) hide among the warriors as Harkonnen scouts pursue them.
Stilgar (Javier Bardem) directs his warriors to avoid the scouts before utilizing their own weapons to put them down.
After the scouts are all killed, the Fremen leave their carcasses as food for Shai-Hulud.
When Paul and Jessica arrive at the Sietch, the other Fremen dismiss them as spies, while others blame Paul for killing Jamis (Babs Olusanmoku
n). Stilgar addresses a council, persuading them that they must be aided and that they can also assist the Fremen.
Stilgar speaks privately with Jessica, advising her that their Reverend Mother is dying and requesting that she take her place.
She joins the other Bene Gesserit, as well as the Reverend Mother Ramallo (Giusi Merli), and is instructed to drink the Water of Life, a deadly elixi
r that kills males.
Jessica consumes it and begins convulsing, and the other Bene Gesserit become concerned after learning too late that Jessica is pregnant.
After a period, Jessica overcomes the poison and acquires her ancestors' memories, and her daughter begins to speak with her.
They talk to each other about how they should start working to persuade people in northern Arrakis to believe in the prophecy, starting with those t
hey see as weak.
Paul approaches Chani (Zendaya) as she discusses the prophecy with her friend Shishakli (Souhelia Yacoub).
Later, the Fremen launch an attack against a Harkonnen scouting tank.
The warriors slaughter the scouts until an Ornithopter flies around and starts firing.
Paul assists Chani in protecting herself and provides her with an opportunity to penetrate and destroy the Ornithopter's shield.

2. As the Fremen gather the water from the dead scouts, Paul tells Stilgar and the other Fremen that he is unconcerned about being identified as the
Lisan al-Gaib because he simply wants to fight alongside them. They embrace it and begin to respect him more.
Paul and Chani later sit on a hill, appreciating the view as the tide rushes across the sand.
The two become closer and indulge in their romantic sentiments, sharing a kiss.
Time passes, as Paul begins to train more with the Fremen, eventually becoming a Fedaykin fighter alongside Chani.
He becomes more accepted by the Fremen, acquiring the fighting name "Muad'Dib Usul," which is derived from the kangaroo mice that roam the d
esert and a well-known Fremen warrior.
He also has horrifying images of himself following an unknown figure (eventually revealed to be Jessica) south, and the land is littered with corpse
s as a result of the holy war that he believes would occur if he becomes Lisan al-Gaib.
Paul then engages in a key Fremen test: riding a sandworm. He proceeds to a lower level of the sands, where the Fremen gather to observe.
He plants the gadget that will summon Shai-Hulud. Paul waits for the worm to traverse a mound before jumping on.
After a little effort, Paul is able to latch himself on and successfully ride the sandworm, prompting screaming cheers from the Fremen.
Jessica subsequently embarks on a journey to southern Arrakis to spread knowledge of the prophecy among the extremists.
While she wants Paul to join her, he believes that they are giving the people false hope and that his joining her will result in his visions coming true
.
On Giedi Prime, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgard) has returned home. He attends a celebration for his youngest nephew, Feyd-
Rautha (Austin Butler), Rabban's brother (Dave Bautista).
Reverend Mother Mohiam (Charlotte Rampling) and Lady Margot Fenring (Lea Seydoux), both Bene Gesserit, are also in attendance.
They all assemble with a large crowd to watch Feyd compete in a tournament against three members of House Atreides.
Two of them are drugged, making it simple for Feyd to murder them, but the third is conscious and fights the young Harkonnen before Feyd kills hi
m with his blade.

3. Feyd is furious with the Baron for revealing this information, but he subsequently appoints Feyd as king of Arrakis because Rabban has been strug
gling to keep spice production going and the Fremen in check.
Mohiam and Margot contemplate the likelihood of Paul still being alive, as stories about "Muad'Dib" circulate around Arrakis. Margot locates Feyd-
Rautha and approaches him alone.
Though he initially fears her motivations, she seduces him after administering the same Bene Gesserit test as Mohiam did to Paul.
Margot returns to Mohaim, revealing that she is now carrying Feyd's daughter.
Irulan continues to doubt the attack on House Atreides.
She speaks directly with Mohiam, who is aware of the Emperor's role in the attack and why it was essential. Smugglers land on Arrakis.
The Fremen battle until Paul identifies one of them as Gurney Halleck (Josh Brolin).
They share a heartfelt embrace, and Paul warns the Fremen about the smugglers.
Gurney describes how he survived the attack and joined Paul and the others.
Gurney guides Paul, Chani, and Stilgar to the House Atreides cache of atomic warheads, believing they have insufficient combat might against the
Harkonnens.
Harkonnen warriors headed by Feyd-Rautha attack the Sietch Tabr, killing a number of Fremen and forcing the rest to hide.
Shishakli is apprehended, and when she refuses to speak, Feyd burns her.
Despite Paul's reservations, the survivors continue on their journey south.
Paul goes to the same temple as Jessica to discover the source of the Water of Life (which is derived from a young sandworm).
Despite Chani's protests, Paul drinks it and becomes unconscious.
He has additional visions like Jessica, including one of his sister Alia (Anya Taylor-Joy) speaking to him.
Everyone gathers to help Paul, and Chani is told that he can be restored with Desert Spring tears.
Chani wipes her tears and mixes them with the Water of Life before applying it to Paul's lips. He awakens and speaks with Jessica quietly.
He tells that he has discovered that she is the Baron's daughter, making them both Harkonnens, which Jessica was previously unaware of.
This now qualifies Paul as the Kwisatz Haderach (the male with the same talents as the Bene Gesserit who have drunk the Water of Life).

4. Other Fremen leaders meet at the temple to discuss Paul's ascension.
They want him to fight Stilgar, which he is willing to do, but Paul refuses them and delivers a major speech in which he claims to be Lisan al-Gaib.
Chani also claims that the prophecy has kept the Fremen slaves. All the Fremen soon recognize Paul as their messiah.
The Harkonnens return with the Emperor, Irulan, and their Sardaukar soldiers, forcing the Fremen to confront them once and for all.
The Emperor confronts the Harkonnens and has the Baron's suspensor belts severed, causing him to fall and become immobilized.
Paul then orders that the warheads be launched to penetrate Arrakeen's defenses.
The Fremen warriors then ride the sandworms to wipe off a large portion of the army.
The Baron makes one last desperate attempt to reach the Emperor's throne, but Paul approaches him and calls him as his grandfather once, startl
ing the Baron before sticking a dagger in his neck and murdering him.
Outside, the remaining Sardaukar flees, but Gurney catches up with Rabban for a rematch.
They fight briefly before Gurney jams his blade into Rabban's chest.
Paul plans to confront the Emperor in retribution for his role in his father's death.
He threatens to destroy the spice supply unless the Emperor surrenders and lets Paul marry Irulan, which clearly saddens Chani.
The Emperor asks Feyd-Rautha to be his champion.
Paul and Feyd fight in an intense duel, with Feyd piercing Paul's side, but Paul eventually wins the upper hand and fatally stabs Feyd in the chest.
He informs Paul that he fought well before succumbing to death.
Paul prepares to go after the Emperor next, but Irulan intervenes to agree to the condition of marrying Paul.
Before stepping down, the Emperor informs Paul that he killed Leto because he was motivated by heartfelt emotions.
Paul takes Irulan's hand, and Chani walks away in tears.
Paul eventually learns that the other Great Houses have not all acknowledged his ascendancy.
He then orders the Fremen army to advance forward and "send them to paradise." Gurney, Stilgar, and many more concur and march forward.
Jessica speaks to Alia one final time, stating that the holy war has begun.
The film concludes with Chani stepping out into the sands to summon a sandworm to ride to unknown destinations.

5. After escaping the attack on House Atreides, Paul and Lady Jessica accompany the Fremen on their journey across Arrakis so that Paul might trai
n for the fight against the Harkonnens.
Jessica, who is pregnant, drinks the Water of Life after becoming the Fremen's new Reverend Mother, a poison derived from newborn sandworms
that allows her to glimpse her ancestors' memories.
Paul rapidly gains the trust and respect of the Fremen after learning to battle and ride a sandworm, giving him the warrior nickname "Muad'Dib Us
ul". Meanwhile, Jessica goes out to propagate the prophecy and persuade the Fremen south of Arrakis that Paul is the Lisan al-
Gaib, while Paul initiates a romantic relationship with Chani.
When the Harkonnens discover that Paul is still alive, they set out to eliminate him and the Fremen.
The Baron appoints his youngest nephew Feyd-
Rautha to succeed him, while demoting Rabban for failing to maintain spice production and keep the Fremen under control.
Paul later reunites with Gurney Halleck, who leads him, Chani, and Stilgar to House Atreides' arsenal of nuclear weapons.
The Harkonnens assault, killing many Fremen and driving the others to flee south, which Paul hoped to avoid because he saw visions of people dy
ing as a result of a holy war that would break out if they fought in his name.
Paul drinks the Water of Life and survives (it is generally fatal to males and is primarily reserved for the Bene Gesserit), allowing him to view vision
s of his ancestors and his newborn sister, Alia.
Paul discovers that he and Jessica are the Baron's grandson and daughter, which makes them Harkonnens.
Paul now accepts his destiny as Lisan al-Gaib and persuades the other Fremen of his identity.
The Emperor and the Harkonnens arrive for one final showdown. The Fremen utilize nukes and sandworms to destroy the Sardaukar army.
Paul murders the Baron, and Gurney murders Rabban. Feyd-Rautha fights with Paul and is slain before Paul forces the Emperor to surrender.
Paul accepts the hand of Princess Irulan, the Emperor's daughter, breaking Chani's heart.
Many of the other Great Houses refuse to acknowledge Paul's succession, so he leads the Fremen into his fated holy war.
Chani then leaves to ride a sandworm to an unknown destination.
