Acts 20:24
However, I consider my life worth
nothing to me; my only aim is to
finish the race and complete the
task the Lord Jesus has given me
—the task of testifying to the
good news of God’s grace.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ,
and I no longer live, but Christ lives
in me. The life I now live in the
body, I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave
himself for me.
Introduction:
- As followers of Christ we are called to deepen our commitment to
him and develop personal convictions that guide our lives: this
journey requires intentional effort, prayer and a willingness to serve
others: by drawing closer to Christ and cultivating a deeper
understanding of his word, we can develop the convictions and
compassion needed to live out our faith authentically.
- Deepening our commitment to Christ is foundational to our
spiritual growth and development. This can be achieved through
several key practices.
- 1st, regular prayer is essential for seeking guidance, wisdom, and
a deeper understanding of God's word.
I. Wholehearted devotion
The heart for God

to God, not divided or
distracted by worldly
pursuits.

seeking his will for our lives.
