Softline® Ipe
Ipe is a wood coming from South America. The tree, with an average height of 30 to 40 meters and a diameter of 70
to 90 centimeters has a straight trunk that can sometimes make spurs. The Ipe sapwood is a yellowish gray color and 10
its structure is quite regular, its grain is fine and the grain is straight. Ipe also has the added property that it does not

deform during drying. All these features enable a smooth surface during machining and a very good finish. This wood
species is particularly considered as durable in combination with the Vetedy Softline® system.

Merbau is a wood that grows primarily in Indonesian tropical forests. The tree can reach a maximum height of 45 meters.

The trunk is not often straight and presents some growth deviations. The sapwood is pale yellow and has thin yellow
stripes. Merbau is highly resistant and does not undergo any deformation after drying which makes it extremely 17

Padauk comes mainly from tropical Gabonese and Cameroon forests. The trees reach a height of nearly 50 meters and

Teak wood is imported from the Myanmar monsoon forests. The sapwood is greyish brown in colour and the heartwood
