David defeats the giant Goliath using only his sling and five smooth stones. David approaches Goliath confident in God's protection and ability to give him victory. David strikes Goliath in the head with a stone from his sling, killing the giant and turning the tide of battle as the Philistine army flees in fear at losing their champion.
