Started as Technician Trainer in No1 Hanger as weapons technician for RSAF
Strikemaster aircraftmachine guns and ‘Drop Tank’ Systems and was then
assimilated into ‘EGRESS’ with the servicing of the MK4HA Martin Baker Ejection
Systemfor this aircraft including the Canopy Jettison System.
With the arrivalof the Pilatus PC9 I was given the relevant Martin Baker Ejection
Seat Courses for the MK11SA to cover the fitting, removing, 2 year and 6 year
servicing with a courseon Parachuteinspection.
I put forward severalInnovations thatmadeuse of recycling scrapped parts to aid
in the servicing that was accepted.
I trained Saudi Technicians on this M.B.E.S. until promoted to Supervisor until
‘Saudization’ demoted me back to Technician Trainer where I continued servicing
MK11SA until given a courseat Pilatus, Switzerland on removal and fitting of the
MK 16C MBES fromthe new RSAF PC21 aircraftfollowed by further training at
Martin Baker for the MK16Cseat.
I am currently certified for ‘Red X’ release of the MK11SA seats on the PC9 and
the ‘Red X’ release for the MK16Con the PC21 including all special inspections
and servicing for the MB MK16CMBES Systems.
