Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Financial analyst at Keywords International Ltd. I reported directly to the Group Finance
Manager. Keywords International Ltd is an international technical service provider to the global
video game industry with studios worldwide. The company provides a range of services
including translation, testing, audio and customer care to video game developers. My role
included:
Assisting in the consolidation of the annual financial statements for the group company.
Consolidation consisting of twelve global subsidiaries with group turnover in excess of
€30 million.
Preparation of the group annual report including the associated reports and associated
notes.
Assisting in the preparation of the audit files in conjunction with the group financial
statements for auditing.
2. Communicating and assisting the auditors throughout the audit of the group financial
statements.
Preparation of the company files related to the accounting for new business combinations
in line with IFRS 3.
Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
Assisting in the implementation of a new inter-company management charges structure
for the group.

I managed a client portfolio of 60 clients and reported to the firm’s proprietor in an accountancy
practice of 18 employees. My client base included;
Small companies limited by shares and guarantee, some with annual turnovers of
€1,000,000.
Sole traders and partnerships.
Retailers and trades people.
Motor Vehicle distributors and rental.
Landlords and property management companies.
PAYE sector.

Accounts Preparation and Taxation Compliance Duties:
Preparing financial accounts for small and medium sized companies, partnerships and
sole trader clients.
Preparing working papers for financial accounts including bank reconciliations, PAYE,
VAT, Debtor and Creditor control accounts.
Preparation of Rental Income and Expenditure Accounts.
Preparation of Income tax returns for submission to the Revenue Commissioners.
Preparation of Corporation tax returns for submission to the Revenue Commissioners.

licences and auctioneer licences on an ad-hoc basis.
Liaising with the Revenue Commissioners on aspects in relation to Revenue Audits and
Investigations.
Liaising with clients on any queries they may have and advising them appropriately in
person and over the telephone.
Maintaining online accounting systems for clients including Xero, Sage and Kashflow.
Keeping up to date with any changes or planned changes to accounting standards.
Holding annual review meetings with my client portfolio.
Training and supervision of junior staff.
Audit Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing an audit planning memorandum and ensuring members of the audit team
communicate and interact effectively.
