Our new developed airport was supposed to handle 8 million passengers per annum after 20 years. The aim of this project was to get a better understanding of what designing and developing an airport regarding various aspects looks like.

• My task in this project was to design the layout of the airport by using modelling tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I began by doing some research on to how the location of our facilities would benefit our airport and then by trial and error I managed to come up with a very good, single runway, airport layout.
• As well as deciding upon whether out-sourcing our airport’s facilities or keeping them in-house would benefit our airport the most. I began by looking at what other big airports around the world are doing, and in the end, I could get a better understanding of what works better, how and why.
