Raw cotton undergoes a process of carding and cleaning to remove impurities. It is then combed and straightened into rope-like strands called "silver." Multiple silver strands are further spun together and wound onto large reels or bobbins. The yarn can then be used for knitting or woven on power looms to produce fabric, concluding the cotton processing stages.
