From doing research
and looking into
conventions of
opening sequences
to films I discovered
that...
• Traditional conventions
  include a plain background
  (usually black)
• Text over the top including
  names on screen of actors,
  producers, writers etc.
HOWEVER...
• The more modern
  approaches to opening
  credits include:
• Focus on the main character
• Extreme close ups or
  establishing shots of
  significant objects
• From watching film openings in this genre
  i have noticed that:
• A lot of the time it includes fast
  intercutting
• Little diagetic sound
• Use of lively upbeat music
• Parallel action
• Focus on the main character
