Dear :
I am writing this letter of recommendation for Clinton Law. I was Clint’s Reading
Recovery Teacher Leader when he first trained for the position of Reading Recovery teacher for
Quincy Public Schools and during the academic years that he worked in this position.
Clint learned to use observation to make moment-to-moment teaching decisions within
Reading Recovery lessons as a Reading Recovery professional at Washington Elementary
school. I have observed Clint analyze a child’s response to instruction then adjust his
instructional scaffold as needed to take advantage of progress. He continued to refine his
language of instruction through thoughtful and reflective participation during continuing
professional development sessions.
Clint collaborated regularly with all classroom teachers as a member of the school based
Reading Recovery team. He took on the responsibility of working with the principal and literacy
coach to make full implementation of Reading Recovery a priority.
Clint is enthusiastic and creates a personal relationship with each of the children. He is
a person of integrity and demonstrated flexibility when things happened that may have altered
his plans.
This opportunity for you to add Clinton Law to your professional staff of educators will
positively impact not only the children, but also their parents, as well as teachers and
administrators associated with your school district.
Sincerely,
Mickey Elliott
