This week in Mrs. Teitsma's class, the students said goodbye to September and hello to October. They did a science experiment identifying parts of a fish and participated in Read for the Record to break a world record. They met their new high school helper Miss Sandra and made art projects on their favorite books from a selection. The students also did well with their Daily 5 centers of reading, word building, listening to stories, and writing stories.

10/19 - Early Release @ 1:15 identified the parts of a fish (mouth,
eye, tail, fin, gills).
 Participated in Read for the Record
where schools across the nation read
10/24 – School Pictures the same book on the same day to
break a world record!
 Met our new morning high school helper,
Miss Sandra. 
10/30-Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
 Made an art project on our favorite book

Monday-Saul
Tuesday-Jenna  Did a great job on Daily 5 centers where
we read to ourselves and a partner,
Wednesday-Lucas build words using magnets, listened to
Thursday-Ethan stories on tape/the computer and we
Friday-Lucas wrote stories.
