Reference for Francisco Clamor
It is with great pleasure that I can recommend Francisco Clamor for a full-time job position. I have known Francisco
for three years. He has been an integral part of our growth at Summer Discovery Programs. Francisco has shown
himself as a person of outstanding value and integrity.
SUMMER DISCOVERY was founded in 1987 as a unique pre-college and middle school enrichment program. Jr.
Discovery and Summer Discovery serves as a three to six-week bridge program from middle school to high school
or high school to college. Our staff works 24 hours a day 7 days a week during their program period to provide
leadership and guidance to our middle and high school students.
Francisco has been an outstanding staff member the past three summers. He started off as a six-week resident
counselor responsible for 15 students in Summer Discovery @ UCLA programs. He quickly assumed a leadership
position on his own the first summer and two summers ago rose to the role of a supervisor resident counselor for his
floor of 85 students and 8 staff–for 7 weeks. His responsibilities mostly involved supervising and counseling our
staff (ages 21-30) and helping deal with the many issues involved in a 24 hour a day job, while working with
teenagers.
This past summer Francisco assumed the position of Program Assistant Head Resident Counselor Director and was
responsible for the overall supervision of 60 staff and 600 students. This is a position that very few associates are
trusted with and Francisco excelled at the Assistant Head Resident Director position. In addition, Francisco also
took on the responsibility of one of our Media Assistant Director who was responsible for taking videos and pictures
for seven weeks and ultimately providing edited video and slide show content. Again he excelled in his job.
It has been exciting to watch Francisco grow into an outstanding leader. Francisco has found a way to inspire his
staff and students and engage the community in which he works. Francisco has become an advocate for both our
students and staff. He is first to recognize leadership among both our staff and students, and first to give guidance
and direction. Most importantly he has become an individual who I rely on and whose judgment I can always trust.
As the owner of Summer Discovery for twenty-five years, I have supervised many leaders. Francisco has a special
instinct that draws people to him I believe Francisco will be a valuable asset as a full-time associate at your
company.
