2. The objective is to create a fruit or vegetable salad, either sweet or savory, which depicts the theme of the event in some way.
3. This will be a vegetarian dish for the most part. However, eggs may be used for any preparation.
4. This is a no - fire cooking event.
5. Participants will set up a workstation in their kitchen while preparing and lay out the finished dish in any part of their house that seems appropriate.
6. Boiling of vegetables, if required, may be done prior to the event for safety concerns.
7. For categories 2 and 3, all vegetables/ fruits must be cut by adults prior to the event. Participants of category 4 must show cutting of vegetable during the Live
event. However, this must be under adult supervision.
8. Fresh and whipped cream, sauces, herbs, condiments and oils are allowed.
9. All garnishing is permissible.
10. Participants are requested to handle any sharp knives or tools they use for the competition with extreme care and under strict adult supervision. The
organization will not be held responsible for any injuries.
11. Wearing of aprons is mandatory for all participants of this event.
12. Any one adult must be present during the event with the participant for safety concerns.
