This document discusses the use of arterial duplex testing to evaluate lower extremity arterial disease. It provides details on:
1) How duplex testing uses Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow via velocity spectra and anatomy via B-mode imaging to classify occlusive and aneurysm disease.
2) The characteristic features of normal versus abnormal velocity spectra that indicate things like stenosis or occlusion. Parameters like peak systolic velocity and pulsatility index are used to interpret test results.
3) How duplex testing can map the arterial tree and detect changes after interventions like bypass grafting or angioplasty through identifying stenosis. Accurate interpretation of velocity spectra is important for diagnostic evaluation.
The document is a training report submitted by Pankaj Shukla of Adani Infra (India) Limited summarizing his training from June 15-17, 2012 in New Delhi on project management. It discusses Adani's vision to achieve 20,000 MW of power generation by 2020. It also provides an overview of the 4,620 MW Mundra Power Plant project, including its challenges and achievements. Online direct import of specimen records from iDigBio infrastructure into tax...Viktor Senderov
On 16 June 2016, V. Senderov and L. Penev held a webinar presenting two novel workflows developed at Pensoft Publishers and used in the Biodiversity Data Journal; (1) automatic import of specimen records into manuscripts, and (2) automatic generation of data paper manuscripts from Ecologocal Metadata Language (EML) metadata. The aim of the webinar was to familiarize the public with the workflows, and motivate them from a scientific standpoint. The title of the webinar was: "Online direct import of specimen records from iDigBio infrastructure into taxonomic manuscripts."
Integrated Digitized Biocollections (iDigBio) is the leading US-based aggregator of biocollections data. They hold regular webinars and workshops aimed at improving biodiversity informatics knowledge, which are attended by collection managers, scientists, and IT personnel. Thus, making a presentation for them was an excellent way of making our research and tools-development efforts widely known and getting feedback from the community.
Our efforts, which are part of the larger PhD project of V. Senderov to build an Open Biodiversity Knowledge Management System (OBKMS) (Senderov and Penev 2016), focused on two areas: optimizing the workflow of specimen or occurrence data and optimizing the workflow of dataset metadata. The results of these efforts are that now it is possible to directly import specimen or occurrence record information from GBIF, BOLD Systems, iDigBio, or PlutoF into ARPHA via a record identifier. No manual copying or retyping is required. Moreover, it is possible to generate a data paper manuscript from recent Ecological Metadata Langauge (EML) versions in ARPHA. The data paper concept is discussed throughly in Chavan and Penev (2011).

2. The Government of Chhattisgarh (GOCG) proposes to
establish a Herbal & Medicinal Park (H&M) in the State.
The proposed site has 224 acres and is located in Villages
named Banjari and Bagaudh,Tehsil Kurudh,District
Dhamtari.
3. The project of Chhattisgarh Infrastructure aims to
provide state-of-the-art Herbal Park to promote
Pre-Processing, Intermediaries Processing,
Manufacturing and Trading of Herbal & Medicinal
Products.
4. The planning of the on-site infrastructure including
specialized infrastructure facilities within the Park is
being made. Entrepreneurs would set up their
Processing/ Trading units in the Park.
5. The Government of Chhattisgarh will facilitate
the off-site infrastructure. To enhance the
marketability of the project, CIDC had invited
expression of Interest from various established
industries for setting-up their units in the park
and has received fairly good response.
6. The project will be implemented on Public
Private Partnership (PPP) format through a
Special Purpose Company (SPC).GOCG
will provide land to the developer on long
lease of 90 years.
7. In the sector of Chhattisgarh
Infrastructure, the state has developed a lot
in the field of roadways, railways and
airports.
8. Chhattisgarh is in the central part of the country
which is well connected by all weather roads and
comprises 12 national highways.These highways
constitute 2,289 km of roads in the region while the
state highways account for 5,240 km.
9. In the railways sector, state has a strong
railway network and falls under the
jurisdiction of the South East Central
Railways.
10. The two major railway stations in the state are
Raipur and Bilaspur. The highest freight loading
capacity in India is recorded in Chhattisgarh and
around one-sixth of the revenue of Indian
Railways comes from this state.
11. The state government has also planned to construct about 300
km of rail network in the region. To take this initiative ahead,
the government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding
with South Eastern Coalfields and IRCON International. The
main objective of the project is to have two rail corridors - East
Corridor and the East-West Corridor.
12. Chhattisgarh has two domestic airports and eight air
strips in Bhilai, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, Jagdalpur,
Ambikapur, Jashpur Nagar and Sarangarh. The Airport
Authority of India has plans to build Raigarh and
Bilaspur in the state in future.
13. Chhattisgarh, the developing tourist spot, has developed its
physical infrastructure to attract the attention of domestic as well as
foreign investors. The transport has been given immense focus as
the state has nearly 24,678 kilometres of national highway that
accounts for the 71% of total road infrastructure in the state.
14. The strong factor of the huge investment in state is the large road
network. For improving the Chhattisgarh Infrastructure, the
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to
develop five national highway projects aggregating 450 km
through private sector participation so as to meet the state's
growing transport requirements. The Asian Development Bank
will give funds to upgrade the state’s highway network.
