By March 2018 the 457 visa will be abolished
New Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) Visa will be
created

• Registered Nurses and Midwives are currently on the Consolidated list of eligible

• Next update to the occupation lists is planned for July 2017.
• New age requirement (45yrs old) for Employer Nominated Scheme – visa 186.
• TSS (Medium Term Visa) – has capacityfor PR pathway after 3 years, the age
requirement is still (currently) under 50 yrs.).
