We will ask that all guests seated in the lower bowl (Sections

to their seats. We will use both visual and verbal reminders to
remind our guests about arena policy.
Our Guest Services Ushers will make efforts not to block the
view of the action during play to ensure that every guest has
an unobstructed view of the rink.
During entry we will run a reminder video that
encourages our guests to keep an eye on the puck at all times.
CBBA has installed netting above the glass that borders
the corners and the end zones of the rink and ensured that
the height of the glass attached to the dasher boards are a
minimum of 8 feet tall on the ends and 5 feet tall along the
sides as mandated by the NHL.

Sustainability
As the Entertainment ICON of the Inland Empire, Citizens
Business Bank Arena fully recognizes and accepts its
responsibility to help improve local economic, social and
environmental conditions.
Since our opening in 2008, Citizens Business Bank
Arena has had a strong commitment to give back to the local
community.Wearealsoproudtosaythatresourceefficiencyand
intelligent operations have been part of our practices from
the start. We are aware of the environmental impact of our
operations and we are committed to taking even more
measures to reduce our footprint. Citizens Business Bank
Arena is committed to becoming a world-class “green” arena.
Some of our Accomplishments
Water
In partnership with Falcon Waterless Urinals, Citizens
Business Bank Arena features waterless urinals. With no
urinals using water we can save over 40,000 gallons of fresh
water per urinal per year.
In addition, Citizens Business Bank Arena utilizes other
water saving features such as metered and sensor faucets
in all restrooms.

Energy Management
Citizens Business Bank Arena prides itself on running an
efficient venue and has made special efforts to maintain
advanced technology in terms of controlling and managing
our electrical consumption. We have the following in place:
• Low voltage lighting relays
	 that control the sequence and
	 operation of all task, general
	 and event lighting. Lighting
groups can be set to specific
	 times for use.
• Use of fluorescent lighting
	 instead of incandescent lighting.
	 Use of electronic ballast instead
	 of magnetic ballast.
• Citizens Business Bank Arena
	 uses a solar powered compactor.
• Peak demand program with Enernoc provides
	 renewable energy.
• VSD “variable speed drives” are installed on all air
	 handlers and one chiller.
• Time schedules and photo cell control of exterior lighting.
• HVAC components have variable frequency drives,
meters and other efficiency monitoring technology.
Waste and Recycling
Citizens Business Bank Arena takes a very active role
in waste reduction and recycling. We recycle all cardboard
and wood pallets separately and we work in
association with our concessions partner, Levy
Restaurants, to source separate glass and plastic
from all concessions and restaurants. All suites,
offices, clubs, and public areas provide recycling
containers. Paper waste is placed in a separate recycling
container in our administrative offices.
Cleaning
Citizens Business Bank Arena uses Johnson Diversity
green certified cleaning products. Our cleaning crew uses
microfiber mop heads and
we use microfiber clothes
instead of paper towels to
clean. The Nobles carpet
cleaner contains no
detergent. All trash bag
liners are 50% less
plastic than normal liners.
Carpeted maps at all entrances
reduce outside dirt by 70% which
can improve air quality in the
arena. These efforts not only
remove harmful chemicals from
contact with both staff and
fans but reduces the total
number of products used and
the subsequent packaging and
shipping requirements.
Parking and Public Transportation
Citizens Business Bank Arena
has thought about all areas
of our impact. To reduce
energy use in the parking lots but still maintain
a high standard of safety, we have installed sensors
to all lights that are set to power down unless there is
movement. Parking attendants and security staff use 4
electric golf carts to get around our venue.
Citizens Business Bank Arena fans attending events are
encouraged to carpool. The local bus schedule is available at
Guest Services and the Box Office. We also have installed a
sufficient supply of bike racks on the venue property.

  • 73. Some of our Accomplishments Water In partnership with Falcon Waterless Urinals, Citizens Business Bank Arena features waterless urinals. With no urinals using water we can save over 40,000 gallons of fresh water per urinal per year. In addition, Citizens Business Bank Arena utilizes other water saving features such as metered and sensor faucets in all restrooms.   Energy Management Citizens Business Bank Arena prides itself on running an efficient venue and has made special efforts to maintain advanced technology in terms of controlling and managing our electrical consumption. We have the following in place: • Low voltage lighting relays that control the sequence and operation of all task, general and event lighting. Lighting groups can be set to specific times for use. • Use of fluorescent lighting instead of incandescent lighting. Use of electronic ballast instead of magnetic ballast. • Citizens Business Bank Arena uses a solar powered compactor.
  • 74. • Peak demand program with Enernoc provides renewable energy. • VSD “variable speed drives” are installed on all air handlers and one chiller. • Time schedules and photo cell control of exterior lighting. • HVAC components have variable frequency drives, meters and other efficiency monitoring technology. Waste and Recycling Citizens Business Bank Arena takes a very active role in waste reduction and recycling. We recycle all cardboard and wood pallets separately and we work in association with our concessions partner, Levy Restaurants, to source separate glass and plastic from all concessions and restaurants. All suites, offices, clubs, and public areas provide recycling containers. Paper waste is placed in a separate recycling container in our administrative offices. Cleaning Citizens Business Bank Arena uses Johnson Diversity green certified cleaning products. Our cleaning crew uses microfiber mop heads and we use microfiber clothes instead of paper towels to clean. The Nobles carpet cleaner contains no detergent. All trash bag liners are 50% less plastic than normal liners.
  • 75. Carpeted maps at all entrances reduce outside dirt by 70% which can improve air quality in the arena. These efforts not only remove harmful chemicals from contact with both staff and fans but reduces the total number of products used and the subsequent packaging and shipping requirements. Parking and Public Transportation Citizens Business Bank Arena has thought about all areas of our impact. To reduce energy use in the parking lots but still maintain a high standard of safety, we have installed sensors to all lights that are set to power down unless there is movement. Parking attendants and security staff use 4 electric golf carts to get around our venue. Citizens Business Bank Arena fans attending events are encouraged to carpool. The local bus schedule is available at Guest Services and the Box Office. We also have installed a sufficient supply of bike racks on the venue property.
