Start By:
A. Remove the piston motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Motor (Hydrostatic)

Typical Example
1. Mark the piston motor for assembly purposes. Remove bolts (1) . Remove cover (2) .
2. Remove gasket (3) .

3. Remove washer (4) . Remove disc spring (5) . Remove fitting (6) .

4. Install Tooling (H) . Use low pressure compressed air to remove piston (7) .
Note: Low-pressure air is required in order to allow the piston to release from the motor.
Note: Tooling (H) is required in order to prevent damage to the piston.

5. Remove O-ring seal (8) .

6. Remove bolts (9) . Remove brake housing (10) .

7. Use Tooling (A) to remove seal (11) .

8. Remove outer discs (12) . Remove inner discs (13) . Remove shim (14) . Remove O-ring
seal (15) .

Note: Observe the shaft's direction.
9. Remove shaft (16) .

Typical Example
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a
released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.
10. Remove fittings (19) . Remove bolts (18) . Remove rear case (17) .

11. Use Tooling (B) to remove distributor (20) from rear case (17) . Remove springs (21) .
Remove pin (22) . Remove O-ring seals (23) .

12. Block distributor (20) . Use Tooling (C) to remove bushing (24) .
13. Remove O-ring seal (25) , O-ring seal (26) , and O-ring seal (27) from rear case (17) .

14. Remove plug (28) from rear case (17) . Remove O-ring seal (29) from plug (28) .

15. Remove plug (32) . Remove O-ring seal (31) from plug (32) . Remove spring (30) .
16. Remove washer (34) . Remove spool (33) .

17. Remove plug (37) . Remove O-ring seal (36) from plug (37) . Remove spring (35) .
18. Remove washer (38) .
19. Remove cam ring (39) .
20. Remove rotor (40) . Remove O-ring seal (41) .

21. Use Tooling (E) to remove split ring (42) .
22. Remove washer (43) .
23. Block front case (44) . Use a suitable press to remove spindle assembly (45) .

24. Remove Duo-Cone seal (46) from spindle assembly (45) .
25. Use Tooling (F) and Tooling (G) to remove bearing cone (47) .

26. Block spindle assembly (45) . Use a suitable press to remove studs (46) .
27. Remove Duo-Cone seal (49) . Remove bearing cup (50) . Remove plug (51) .
28. Remove bearing cone (52) .

29. Remove seal (54) . Remove bearing cup (53) .
